Comparison Photos of Celebrities and Their Children At the Same Age

By: Lisa Lee | Last updated: Sep 22, 2022

Alongside acting talent, most celebrities are chosen for their good (or at least unique) looks. Sometimes those looks emerge naturally, but other times they come about through copious amounts of plastic surgery. Regardless, these children of celebrities manage to look just like their parents at the same age.

Maybe it’s the result of some sci-fi cloning technology that only the rich and famous know about, or perhaps it’s simply the result of uncannily good genetics. Regardless of reason, these sons and daughters not only bear a striking resemblance to their famous parents, but they often share a similar talent. Let’s have a look.

40s Jerry Stiller and Ben Stiller

Ben Stiller is an American actor and comedian famous for starring in a string of hilarious movies in the early 2000s. These included Zoolander (which he also directed), Meet the Parents (his most recognizable role), and Tropic Thunder (alongside Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr.).

Stiller’s father is Jerry Stiller, another famous American comedian. Although not as well known to a younger crowd, he made appearances in hit TV shows such as Seinfeld, King of Queens, and his son’s film Zoolander.

Teenage Uma Thurman and Maya Hawke

Uma Thurman rose to fame from 1994’s Pulp Fiction. A few years later, she starred opposite Ethan Hawke in 1997’s Gattaca. The two fell in love, got married, and had two kids.

Their daughter Maya Hawke was born in 1998. During her teenage years, she bore a striking resemblance to her famous model and actress mom. That’s not the only thing the two share – Maya also acts, as can be seen in BBC’s Little Women and Netflix’s Stranger Things.

31-Year-Old John Lennon and Sean Lennon

Take a look at the photo below and then come back for a read. The names John and Sean not only sound alike but the two look alike as well! The messy hair and looks make them nearly inseparable. Sean, of course, is the son (only son) of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Unfortunately, Sean was only five years old when his dad passed away from a gunshot wound. Although they didn’t get to share a lot of time together, they do share a lot of interests – in particular, music and wire-rim glasses.

Young Angelina Jolie and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt

Actress Angelina Jolie is attractive, talented, and well-known (and loved) for her humanitarian work as Special Envoy for the United Nations. Jolie has a total of six kids – three are biological (with ex-husband Brad Pitt) and three are adopted.

Her youngest daughter is Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt. Born in Nice, France in 2008, she has grown up to have a remarkable likeness to her mother (just take a look at the two childhood photos above). Vivienne has also starred opposite her mom in the 2014 film Maleficent.

30s Steven Tyler and Liv Tyler

Rock n’ roll frontman Steven Tyler rose to fame in the early 1970s singing for Aerosmith. Although the band has waxed and waned over the years, Tyler remains fairly well-known and popular for his work on American Idol.

Liv Tyler is his daughter – however, she didn’t find out he was her father until about 10 or 11 years old. When she was born in 1970, Steven Tyler had drug issues that made fatherhood impossible. However, since then they’ve developed a close bond. Plus, look how similar they look!

30s Kirk Douglas and Michael Douglas

Actor Kirk Douglas was born in 1916 and passed away in 2020. Over that 104 years of life, he managed to rise from an impoverished childhood with an abusive father to the heights of Hollywood in his adult years. His career stretched from the mid-1940s to 2008.

Kirk had four sons, the most famous of which is Michael Douglas. Michael rose to fame producing One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and starring in Fatal Attraction. Although they’re separated by decades, the side-by-side photos of Kirk and Michael in their 30s is uncanny.

Teenage Faith Hill and Maggie McGraw

Country singer Faith Hill has sold an astonishing 40 million albums since the 1993 release of Take Me As I Am. She married equally famous country star Tim McGraw in 1996. Together, they have three daughters.

The daughter above is Maggie McGraw. When placed side-by-side with her singer mom, they look nearly identical. Clearly she inherited her mom’s good looks, but has decided to take a different route – opting to get a university degree at Stanford rather than sing in the spotlight.

Mid-20s Melanie Griffith and Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson has been acting since she was ten; however, she undoubtedly gained much more fame (and notoriety) in her role as Ana Grey in the Fifty Shades film series.

On the right is Dakota and on the left is her mom, actress Melanie Griffith. Although the two pictures are decades apart, mother and daughter look remarkably alike. Dakota inherited her good looks and talent from Melanie who, in turn, inherited it from her mom – actress Tippi Hedren (famous for starring in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds).

30s Damon Wayans & Damon Wayans Jr.

As you might have guessed from the name, Damon Wayans Jr. is the son of Damon Wayans, the actor and comedian who rose to fame during the 80s and 90s with such films as Beverly Hill Cops, Major Payne, and the TV show In Living Color.

Born in 1982, Damon Wayans Jr. has quite a successful career as an actor, writer, and comedian of his own. He’s most well-known for his role as Brad Williams in the ABC sitcom Happy Endings – which won him a Critic’s Choice Award.

20s Janet Leigh and Jamie Lee Curtis

In Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film Psycho, Janet Leigh starred as Marion Crane. This pivotal role cemented her place in thriller film history. Just two years before that, she gave birth to a daughter named Jamie Lee Curtis.

Jamie Lee Curtis inherited her good looks (as you can see from the above photos) as well as her love for slasher films. Curtis rose to fame in the late 70s with the slasher film Halloween. Both mother and daughter acted together in the 1998 sequel Halloween H20: 20 Years Later.
