They say high school is supposed to be the 4 best years of your life. But, teenagers do some weird stuff. Most people have some memories of high school that are sure to raise some eyebrows.

Jimmy Fallon asked everybody to share some of their wackiest memories from high school on twitter with the hashtag #MyHighSchoolwasWeird. Check out these crazy high school experiences that might make you take your own trip down memory lane.

Senior Prank

We are sure there are thousands of amazing stories out there about insane senior pranks. How many do you think involve pigs running throughout the school? Senior pranks are known for wreaking havoc and causing chaos because the seniors know their days are limited at the school so what do they have to lose?

This prank is not only chaotic, but we have to appreciate the thought behind it. Having 3 pigs running around the school campus was apparently not enough for this group of high school seniors. They used some mental warfare as well to make the teachers think there was  a missing pig. We wonder how long that poor staff was searching for the pig that didn’t exist!

Dear Santa

We can all probably recall an assignment in high school that we didn’t really understand or couldn’t make sense of. But, most of us probably didn’t have to answer letters to Santa. At least students were being put to good use by giving old Saint Nick a helping hand.

I guess we aren’t too surprised that North Pole High School had assignments related to Santa. But we can only hope these high school students could capture the magic of Christmas for the kids who wrote the letters to Santa.

Class Pet

You have to love a class pet! It brings some excitement into the classroom. But an unexpected class pet can also bring distraction. To be fair, it sounds like the teachers were just as distracted by the new class pet as the students were.

Listening to “Putting on the Ritz” and playing with a cat is just more appealing than chemistry or geography lessons. We can see how this might have gotten out of hand quickly. We hope they are just exaggerating when they said they “learned nothing”. At least they know what kinds of treats cats like.

Surprise!

Dissecting frogs is not most people’s favorite memory from high school. There’s usually lots of squeals of disgust and there is almost always one class clown that tries to freak everyone out with the frog guts. Gross. We have to give it up for this teacher’s creativity.

Discovering notes inside the frog would certainly surprise me! We wonder what they said. Were they notes of encouragement or was it a scavenger hunt clue? We may never know. But, we’re glad some teachers know how to have fun with their students.

Clever Mascots

While there are lots of creative mascots out there, there are also some that really make you question how they possibly came to be. This one definitely makes us question who signed off on the idea and why they thought it was a good idea.

twitter

A mascot’s job is to hype up the crowd and bring school spirit to the sports games. We’re not convinced that a mop is exactly the best kind of mascot for the job. But maybe the mop was the best hype man any school has ever seen. We have to wonder if every other mascto was taken, though.

Flushed Away

Teenagers do a lot of things that seem completely unexplainable. Most of the time, their actions have us asking, “Why?” and this is definitely one of those things. We cannot possibly guess what would possess someone to flush not one, but multiple rotisserie chickens down the toilet.

twitter

“Poor janitors” is right! Are there multiple rotisserie chicken-flushing bandits or is there more than one person flushing chicken? I guess we’d rather not try to get into the mind of a high schooler to try and solve this mystery.

The Mayonnaise Bandit

In another example of teenage mystery, this woman recalls the mayonnaise bandit from her high school years. Some sneaky kid would put mayonnaise under the stair railings. Who even thinks of this kind of stuff?

twitter

We can’t imagine how this idea came to fruition or why the mayonnaise bandit decided it was a job for him. But we can only imagine that getting a handful of nasty mayonnaise once would be enough to deter you from ever touching the hand railing again. We do have to wonder if the bandit was ever caught for his crimes.

Bring Your Tractor to School Day

We have all heard of “bring your daughter/son to work day” but a “bring your tractor to school day” is definitely a new one. We aren’t quite sure why teachers and staff would want to encourage their students to bring tractors to school.

twitter

What we are sure of is that this day was probably great for tractor business. We can only imagine that students who didn’t have tractors were willing to purchase one just to skip out on a day of classes. Imagine the confusion on that road when the traffic is completely backed up with traffic.

Just Hanging Out

We can all probably recall a teacher that was a little quirky or odd. But this one might just take the cake for being one of the most bizarre professors of all time. Imagine walking into this scene as a high school student

Teachers have stressful jobs so the fact that he smoked to take the edge off doesn’t really surprise us. But we have to ask why he would hang from his ankles to read. We imagine the head rush was no fun. High school really was weird.

Phones Off

Yikes. This must have been a pretty embarrassing situation for the teacher who took such a dramatic stand against phones vibrating in the classroom. However, we all know how annoying the sound of cell phones ringing throughout a classroom can be.

We hope this teacher apologized for giving the entire class detention when it was, in fact, her phone making the noise. We’re sure she made sure to turn her phone off every time she entered the classroom after this.

Canoe Lessons

It’s great that high schools are trying to offer new activities for students to partake in and get more involved. But you really do need to have the resources to make this happen if you really want to excite the students.

A pool is definitely not a big enough space to offer canoe lessons. One canoe probably takes up about half the pool length! It must have been pretty comical to see someone take 2 rows and then have to turn around. At least the school was trying to encourage new sports!

Bathroom Pass

High school teachers were always weird about kids using the bathroom. We understand that they don’t want kids spending the whole class lollygagging around but we can all probably remember at least one teacher who never let anyone get up to use the restroom.

twitter

Or, at least they tried to discourage you from asking. Apparently, one teacher had a pretty creative way of deterring kids from using the bathroom. He made them put a real toilet seat around their neck. That’s one way to get kids to not try to skip out on class, btu it probably wouldn’t fly today.

Weird, Weird, and Weirder

This woman had more than one interesting tidbit to add to the “weird high school” trend. We can’t imagine why “Angel was a centerfold” would be the selected song for morning announcements, but it’s not hurting anybody.

twitter

The fact that the nacho cheese could actually physically remove nail polish is a lot more concerning. Cafeteria food is notoriously sketchy. The weirdest of all is the fact that they watched all movies forward and backwards in French class. Where was this high school and who was in charge?

One Way to Keep Students in Class

Part of us is wishing that this is a joke and no teacher would actually do this. Although, we can definitely remember teachers’ frustration when kids would get up to leave class before the bell rang.

twitter

I remember the phrase “The bell does not excuse you. I do.” being thrown out by most of the teachers. But this is a bit too extreme in our opinion. Regardless, we have to assume it was as effective as it was disgusting.
