Mall Signs in Back To The Future
In 1985’s Back to the Future, the 17-year-old Marty McFly gets sent back to the past. Although it’s by accident, trouble ensues. Anything you do in the past affects the future, and the director made this point known by paying attention to details.

For example, Marty regularly goes to the “Twin Pines Mall” to meet up with Doc Brown, the eccentric scientist (and friend) who creates a time-traveling car. In one journey to the past, Marty runs over a tree. The next time he returns to the mall, it’s called the “Lone Pine Mall.”
Corn in Interstellar
Christopher Nolan’s 2014 film Interstellar is about an adventurous group of people traveling through a wormhole to save humanity. Part of the film takes place in a massive cornfield. Instead of calling in a CGI team to make the corn, Nolan called in farmers to actually plant 500 acres of corn!

Since it was real, he got the realistic look he wanted. Also, the corn field fetched a profit. At the end of filming, Nolan sold the field and earned money to pay off some of the budget.
Cover Art for The Princess Bride
Rob Reiner’s 1987 film The Princess Bride tells the story of a farm boy/pirate dodging obstacles on a quest for true love. It did so well that a special edition DVD was created to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The DVD cover is what you see above. If you look at just the left, it’s a normal cover with the title “The Princess Bride” written in a fantasy style befitting the movie. If you turn the cover upside down, though, the same title “The Princess Bride” can be read perfectly!
Dialogue in Fargo
In the Cohen Brothers’ 1996 film Fargo, Steve Buscemi plays Carl, a criminal hired by Jerry Lundegaard to kidnap his wife. Towards the end of the film, Carl gives Jerry a call. What he says is below.

The line “30 minutes, Jerry, we wrap this thing up” has two meanings. One is the crime in the movie. The other is the fact Carl says that when there are exactly 30 minutes left in the movie! A genius and funny little meta-line from the Cohen brothers.
Car in Spider-Man 2
In Marc Webb’s 2014 film The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker (played by Andrew Garfield) works to save New York City (and in particular, his loved ones) from the evil doings of Oscorp. Things don’t go perfectly, though.

At one point he’s about to jump off a building without a proper landing. Right before, he says he needs a “strong focus.” Many assume that means he needs to concentrate. However, when Parker falls to the ground, he lands on an (undamaged) Ford Focus – clever line and product placement.
Buildings in "Up"
In Pete Doctor and Bob Peterson’s 2009 film Up, the Pixar crew does an amazing job at telling a compelling (and sad) story and getting all the details right. The story can bring tears to your eyes, but the movie details will make you drop your jaw with awe.

Foreshadowing in Shaun Of The Dead

Vehicles in Kingsman
The 2014 film Kingsman (directed by Matthew Vaughn) tells the story of a special spy organization recruiting an unusual kid into their training program. Harry Hart, the new recruit, is expected to help fend off a global threat that’s emerging.

Puns in Zootopia
In the 2016 animated film Zootopia, the bunny Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) works with the fox Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) to solve a mysterious conspiracy. Since the entire city is made of anthropomorphic animals, they have their own little quirks.

End Credits Of Scream
Wes Craven’s 1996 horror film Scream tells the story of a teen girl being stalked by a killer who uses horror films to taunt and terrorize her. Part of the filming took place in a high school, and Wes Craven had a verbal agreement with officials in Santa Rosa to do it at their high school.

A Hidden Joke In Pulp Fiction
This little gem was hidden in the credits of Quentin Tarantino’s 1994, cult film Pulp Fiction. During the scene where the coffee shop is help-up the nervous- who we can assume is the coffee shop owner is cut off by the robber before he can finish his sentence.

However, as soon as the moment is over we can assume most movie goers don’t give this poor guy a second thought. Those who stay to the end of the credits however, got a chance to be “in” on the joke.
The Original Django
In Django Unchained, a man asks Jamie Foxx’s character Django, what his name name is and asks how he spells it. Foxx replies and says “The D is silent.”

Finally Some Accuracy
Someone finally got it right in Disney’s 2016 film, Zootopia. Once you notice this blooper in films you can’t un-see it. Just check out these images from other shows and movies where you can items meant for ears not being used correctly or properly.

8 Shades Of Harry Potter
This is a subtle detail we are sure all die-hard Harry Potter fan have noticed. All 8 films from the series have the same opening scene featuring the Warner Brothers logo.

Through-out the years fans may have noticed the intros becoming darker and darker. This is to foreshadow the movies becoming darker as the years go by.
WOOF
In Chris Columbus’s 1990, blockbuster hit, Home Alone, Kevin goes through his older brother Buzz’s things. When rummaging through Buzz’s trunk he finds a picture of Buzz’s girlfriend. He then say’s “Buzz, your girlfriend…WOOF” implying that she’s not much to look at.

Director Chris Columbus thought it was too cruel to ask a young girl to be the butt of this joke so he asked the film’s art director to come up with something. The film’s art director ended up having his son dress up and pose for the photograph instead.
Real Skeletons
In 1982’s American supernatural horror film Poltergeist directed by Tobe Hooper and written by Steven Spielberg, there is a scene where actress Jobeth Williams comes up in the mud surrounded by skeletons.

It wasn’t until after filming the scene the crew let Williams know that the skeletons she was surrounded by were in fact real human skeletons. At the time the film was made it was cheeper to buy human skeletons from medical supply companies verse making them out of rubber.
A Good Way To Recycle
In the final chapter of Back To The Future, 1990’s Back To The Future III, features a cute little nod to the past. If you look closely you will notice that Dr. Emmett Brown is wearing a face covering that may look familiar.

Doc’s face covering is made from a shirt he previously wore in Back To The Future II. Some movie buff’s think the pattern which is locomotives may have been foreshadowing in the second movie for the third and final movie.
A Little Handsy
Attention to detail in 2014’s, The Lego Movie was on point. No detail for this movie was too small not to be include. If you look closely in any scene where a lego figure has something shiny on and light is being reflected you can clearly see finger prints.

In the picture above you can see on the vest of main character Emmet- voiced by actor Chris Pratt, fingerprints on the reflective lines. This is a reminder to the audience that the Lego character’s are being played with throughout the film.
